Reinforced Engine Mounts & Manual Transmission Mounts*
Before
Our reinforced engine mounts and transmission mounts are made in house. We fill each mount with a rubberized solution to do a few different things.
First, filling the mount prevents the them from moving too much and prematurely wearing out. The added support will prolong the life of the mounts.
Second, the solution we put in each mount will provide enough support to slightly stiffen them up, without being ‘too stiff’. Unlike polyurethane, these have enough ‘give’ to allow the engine mount to move. Polyurethane is much too stiff for most people and will result in annoying and excessive bone jarring vibrations.

Lastly, our mounts will prevent damage to your chassis mounts and provide enough vibration dampening to detour hardware from rattling loose, like polyurethane does.
The special solution mixture we use has a durometer rating of 40 Shore A hardness.

*Note – Pressing in a Mk2 Scirocco 16v transmission mounts ***** Prior to install, measure the thickness of the new mount and the OEM bracket. The new insert mount may be the same thickness of the OEM insert mount. If so, You must leave a 5 mm overhang towards the front of the vehicle (towards the mounting bolts). The Factory OEM mount is slightly thicker and were 16v Scirocco Specific. The center bushing is the same thickness and were offset from the factory. These are not. As no company is manufacturing Mk2 16v trans mounts any more, we are forced to use standard 8v mounts and the difference is approx 5mm-8mm. This will not affect the performance of the mount or cause any adverse side effects. By doing this, it will align the transmission better with the axles. See additional notes below**
