- DO NOT USE A IMPACT GUN – YOU MUST HOLD THE END WHILE TIGHTENING
- Use a thin open ended wrench to hold the bottom of the ball joint end to tighten. It should be notched at the bottom
- Some other designed have a hex on the inside center of the threaded area. This entirely depends on the construction of your specfic tie rod end.
- Either way, you must hold the ball joint end while tighten.
- Impact gun will just spin the ball joint and you will not get maximum tightening that way.
