Mk1 Scirocco Headlight Switch
Our Mk1 Scirocco Headlight Switch are brand new in the box. These these switches are known to fail, especially if you are running a higher wattage Bulb, such as H4 european headlights. IF you’re running anything larger than a OEM 55 watt bulb, you need to run relays to each bulb. The excessive wattage will melt wires and burn out switches.
Removing the switch and checking for minor cracks on the switch case is a good sign of a bad switch. Another sign is burnt contacts on the back of the switch, the electrical connector, or the wiring exiting the connector.
Replacing this part can save you hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in wiring repairs, as well a lot of headaches.
