Why Use 16v Poly Muffler Hangers?

Polyurethane (poly) exhaust hangers are used for their enhanced durability and stability, which helps prevent the exhaust from moving excessively and hitting other components. In turn, this makes them a popular upgrade for performance cars, lowered vehicles, or those with heavier aftermarket exhausts. These help with larger pipes to move less than OEM.

Polyurethane is much more resistant to dry rot and wear than traditional rubber hangers. This is because they are more weather resistant and will last significantly longer.

• For certain high-performance setups, a poly hanger on a specific joint in the mid-pipe. This could cause too much stress and lead to breakage. In conclusion, It is important to consider the specific application.
