Description
Our Mk2 Scirocco fuel pump reducer hose are made in house at West Coast Roccos. These hoses are for the fuel pump inlet pump. The molded OEM hoses are no longer made so we’ve come up with a solution to fix this problem.
These hoses are crimped with fuel rated OES Continental metric hoses and use brass hydraulic fittings. After we assemble these, we use our hydraulic crimper and crimp them at 16,000 pounds / 72,000 Newtons or around 435 psi.

Why should I get a Fuel Pump Reducer Hose?
The fuel pump inlet hose in your Mk2 VW Scirocco is a vital component in the fuel delivery system. This hose connects the fuel tank to the fuel pump, ensuring a steady supply of fuel to the engine. Over time, the original rubber hose deteriorates, hardens, and cracks due to exposure to fuel and varying temperatures.
A failing fuel pump inlet hose leads to several problems. Cracks create fuel leaks, posing a fire hazard and causing fuel odors. A hardened hose restricts fuel flow, resulting in poor engine performance, hesitation, and potential stalling. Also, a compromised hose can introduce air into the fuel system, causing the fuel pump to work harder and potentially fail prematurely.
Replacing the fuel pump inlet hose with a new, high-quality replacement is essential for maintaining the reliable operation of your Scirocco. It prevents fuel leaks, ensures proper fuel flow, and protects the fuel pump from damage. You maintain the fuel system’s integrity, ensuring your classic VW runs smoothly and safely.
Don’t risk fuel system issues with an old, worn hose. Replacing it now saves you from potential breakdowns and costly repairs. Replacing this hose protects your investment and preserves the driving experience of your Mk2 Scirocco.
